The Planning Meeting was held August 30, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the BOCES Central Office, 139 State Street, Canton, New York. 

Present:  Marjorie McCullough(Hammond & BOCES), Tim Pitcher (Hammond), Roger Bennett (Vice President of SLLCSBA and BOCES), Ann Adams (Superintendent Hermon-DeKalb), Linda R. Gush (District Superintendent of BOCES), Patricia Gengo (Brasher Falls & BOCES), Dana Smith (SLLCSBA President, Madrid-Waddington & BOCES), Doug McQueer (Superintendent Hammond), Andrea Webb (Edwards-Knox & BOCES), Andy Martin (Heuvelton) and Susan Collins (Secretary/Treasurer of SLLCSBA and Colton-Pierrepont)

Area 6 Dinner Meeting – September 27, 2007 – Meeting will be held at the Malone Golf Club, Malone, New York.  6:00 p.m. Social and 7:00 p.m. Dinner. 

Regent Dawson Dinner Meeting – Monday, December 3, 2007 – Seaway Career & Tech Center, 7225 SH 56, Norwood.  5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Gathering, 6:30 to 7:30 Dinner, 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. Presentation by Regent Dawson. 

Legislative Breakfast – Looking at March 1st or March 8th, 2008, SUNY Canton

There will be a meeting to come up with questions in late January or early February 2008.

Senior Recognition Dinner – June 1, 2008 – Clarkson University, Cheel.  Ann Adams will coordinate

New School Board Member Training – June 14, 2008 – Hermon-DeKalb Central School.  Ann Adams and  Dana Smith

Motion made by Marge McCullough, seconded by Roger Bennett to set the dues for 2007-2008 at $150 per district and BOCES.

Linda R. Gush, District Superintendent, spoke on keeping September 17, 2007 open on your calendar.  THE COMMISSIONER IS COMING – Canton High School Auditorium.  

Linda Gush also spoke on having another Human Issues Forum and looking at the last week of January 2008.

Dana Smith gave an update of using Premier Bus Lines to travel to New York City for the Convention in October and the bus still has open seats available. 

Motion made by Marge McCullough, seconded by Andy Martin to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
